The organization is globally expanding for the last two decades and has successfully entered new verticals through various mergers and acquisitions of regional media and entertainment players. They are growing their service lines and seeking to hire a 'Finance director' to join their team.
Description
Leading a team of 4-5 senior professionals, the Finance Director will be responsible for:
Financial planning and management
Create a global finance framework for the business and develop/implement financial and tax plansFormulate strategies and suggestions to the management and the Board of Directors that will help the company accomplish its goals and objectivesWork closely with all key Finance departments within the organization, including assisting the Group CFO with data analytics and financial reportingBuild strong relationships with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and financial authoritiesMonitor the implementation of financial models and provide expertise pertaining to matters involving M&A or new business initiativesLead the budgeting and planning process for the Group
Financial risk management, control, and reporting
Assess various business risks and devise a risk management strategyLiaise with internal and external auditors on new procedures and regulationsEnsure that all legal requirements are met in a variety of geographic jurisdictionsFormulate business control metrics and input the mandatory measures for financial data managementEnsure effective financial management by supervising the establishment of necessary systems, policies, and procedures
Treasury and asset management
Work closely with the Tax, Legal, Strategy and M&A departments to optimize the capital structure for both the Group and the various Operating CompaniesImplement strategies to optimize fixed inventory processesEnsure sufficient liquidity for financial operations and efficiently protect cash assets while boosting cash investments and mitigating risk from foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodities
Accounting and tax
Ensure adherence to tax regulations on corporate tax, income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes for the various operating companiesImplement policies and ensure that they are executed throughout all operating companiesConsolidate accounting reports for the GroupIdentify opportunities to minimize tax payments while adhering to tax avoidance and evasion regulations
Profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Minimum 15 years of experience of which at least 7-10 years in a managerial roleCurrently residing in Saudi ArabiaExperience in a Media, Broadcast, Technology industry would be an added advantageFluency in Arabic is mandatoryExtensive knowledge of IFRS, US and UK GAAPStrong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
